Love Is What We All Need

A few years ago, the singer, Mary J. Blige, had a very popular song out titled, "Love Is All We Need." In this song, she said, "to make everything complete, all we need is L-O-V-E, Love." That really is the key essence of our make up and of our being . . . LOVE, to be loved, to receive love and to give love. We all have an innate desire, or natural desire present at birth, to be loved, to feel loved, to receive genuine love and to give love. This is a great need for each human being on this planet, LOVE. That's just the way man and woman were created from the beginning by God, our Creator.
Knowing that we are genuinely loved and feeling loved makes our confidence soar! It makes us feel like we can conquer the world. When you know that you are loved wholeheartedly and completely by someone, you feel like Superman and Supergirl. You feel like you can fly. Life doesn't seem so bad anymore. Being loved and knowing that you are loved also enables us to love others in a sincere way. So, why is it then that so many people don't love the way we should? Why are so many people lacking in their ability to love others?
I believe the reason why so many people do not love others the way we should is due to not loving themselves and not feeling loved sincerely and truly by someone else. They have been hurt by life, but can I tell you that we all have. They feel unlovable. They haven't received the love that we all need and crave to validate who we are and have made the choice to shut love out; therefore, they don't have any love to give because they haven't received true love or there is a lack thereof. Something we all should be mindful of is that when we decide to shut love out, we close hearts and ourselves off to giving love and also to receiving love as well. I found out that it's very hard to give something that you don't even have yourself.
So, if you are feeling unloved or like no one loves you or cares for you or if you don't even love yourself, please allow me to introduce you to someone who will love you like no other and care for you when it seems like no one else cares. His name is Jesus Christ and He loves you more than you know and the best thing about His love is that it is unconditional. You can't do anything to cause His love to go away. You don't have to worry about Him leaving you because He promised in His Word (the Bible) that "He would never leave you or forsake you." You don't have to try to impress Him with how wonderful you are to gain His love because He already knows how wonderful you are. You don't have to try to be or become someone you're not because he loves and accepts you just the way you are.
In the Bible, in John 15 verse 13, it says, "Greater love has no one than this, than to lay down one's life for his friends" (NKJV). God loved the world so much that He gave His Son, Jesus Christ (John 3:16). And Jesus loved the world so much that He gave His life to save the world by dying on a cross and then He arose from the grave with all power in His hands. Today, if you have not already done so, make Jesus Christ your Lord and personal Savior and experience a love like never before and find out what it means and what it feels like to be deeply and truly loved.
Romans 10:9-10 says,"that if you confess with your mouth the Lord Jesus and believe in your heart that God raised Him from the dead, you will be saved. For with the heart one believes unto righteousness, and with the mouth confession is made unto salvation" (NKJV). So, that's all you have to do to begin to experience this great unconditional love that Jesus Christ has for you. Confess with your mouth that Jesus is Lord and believe in your heart that He died for your sins and that God raised Him from the dead and He lives and is alive and you shall be saved.
If you would like to do this now, let me lead you in a short prayer. Say, "Lord Jesus, I confess today that you are Lord of all. I believe in my heart that you died on a cross for my sins and that you arose from the grave with all power in your hands and You live today and forever. Dear Jesus, I ask you to come into my heart and save me. I make you my Lord and Savior. Live in me forever in Jesus name, Amen."
If you prayed that prayer with me, I would like to welcome you to the body of Christ! You now have the gift of eternal life and the promise of a love that will never leave you and will always be there for you. We all have difficulties and challenges that we face in life but with Jesus Christ, things will work out for you. I also would like to encourage you to get into a good Bible based church. Pray to Jesus and ask Him to guide you to the church where He has for you to be. He will! There you will be able to learn more about His unconditional love and why it is the best love of all.
Now, that you have received the greatest love of all, you can soar in this life. You can love yourself because you are deserving of your love after all. You can now also receive love because your heart is open to receive. You can even love others. Jesus loves you! Your heart is filled with the love of Christ. So, go on out there and conquer the world!
